GENERAL CONDITIONS
- Contract employees on tour are entitled to daily allowances, with rates based on the duration of the tour, similar to the pattern for railway employees.
- Contract employees are allowed Sundays and National Holidays off but may be called for duty on these days, with compensatory rest given later. They also receive two days of leave for each completed month of engagement, but accumulated leave lapses when the contract ends.
- The contract engagement will be for a maximum period of one year from the date of engagement.
- Candidates must undergo a medical examination, and only medically fit candidates will be considered for contract appointment. Medical standards are as per Indian Railway Medical Manual.
- Contract employees will receive training in safety, technical, and other areas before being assigned to work. After training, their suitability and competency will be assessed by a competent officer. Additional training may be required.
- These posts are for project work within the Central Railway/Construction jurisdiction, not for regular railway employment.
Contract engagement does not guarantee regular employment, absorption, or extension.
Applicants from government or PSU positions must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and resign upon engagement.
Performance monitoring will be conducted regularly, and contracts may be terminated with 30 days’ notice in cases of poor performance. Immediate termination is possible for gross negligence, misconduct, or irregularities.

- Incorrect or missing date of birth, leading to over-age or under-age status.
- Inclusion of the candidate’s name in a debarred list.
- Submission of multiple applications with varying details for the same post.
- Failure to include the required examination fee as specified.
- Any other form of irregularities found in the application.
- Late submission after the specified deadline (by 17:00 hrs on 25/10/2023).
- Uploading an old or unclear photograph or significant variations between the uploaded photograph and the candidate’s actual appearance.
- Applications that do not comply with the terms and conditions provided in the notification will be rejected.
