How To Apply

• Visit the official website
• Application period: 01/10/2023 to 15/10/2023.
• Collect necessary documents: Age proof, education certificates, sports certificates, caste certificate (if applicable), income certificate (for EWS), Aadhar card, and more.
• Fill out the application form online, indicating your job preferences.
• Upload scanned copies of required documents.
• Submit only one application
• Multiple application will be rejected.
• Monitor your email for updates.
• Be prepared for possible posting anywhere in Gujarat.
• Comply with eligibility and rules.
• Avoid any form of unethical canvassing.
• Principal Chief Commissioner has the authority to cancel the recruitment process.
• Final decisions rest with the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Gujarat Region.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Appointment can be made for sportspersons considered meritorious based on specific criteria.
• Eligible candidates should have represented:
  • A State or the country in a National or International competition in any of the mentioned games/sports.
  • Their University in Inter-University Tournaments for the mentioned games/sports.
  • The State School Teams in the National Sports/games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation for the mentioned games/sports.

Evaluation of Proficiency:

• The proficiency and merit of sportspersons meeting the eligibility conditions are assessed based on their participation in recognized tournaments and events.
• The evaluation order of importance is as follows:
  • International Tournaments/Events like Olympics and World Championship.
  • International Tournaments/Events of regional importance such as Asian Games and Commonwealth Games.
  • Domestic Tournaments/Events of National-level seniors like National Games and National Federation games.
  • Domestic Tournaments/Events of National-level juniors.
  • Inter-University Tournaments.
  • National School Games.
  • National Physical Efficiency/Drive certificate holders.

Evidence Requirements:

• To support participation in sports events/games, only certificates awarded by specific authorities will be considered as evidence.
• Candidates must upload self-attested copies of certificates issued by the designated authorities as evidence of their participation in the mentioned sports events/games, along with their application.
• Candidates applying for the position of Tax Assistant must qualify in the Data Entry Skill Test, demonstrating the ability to achieve a minimum of 8000 key depressions per hour. This requirement is in accordance with the relevant recruitment rules.
• Any form of canvassing by candidates is strictly prohibited. If a candidate engages in any kind of canvassing, their candidature may be rejected summarily at any stage of the recruitment process.
• The Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Gujarat), Ahmedabad, has the authority to cancel the recruitment process without being obligated to provide any reason for such a decision.
