4.What UPSC ESE Recruitment 2024 eligibility criteria ?
- Candidates must have obtained a degree in Engineering from a university that is incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or from other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament. They can also have degrees from institutions declared to be deemed as universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
- Alternatively, candidates can qualify if they have passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations conducted by the Institution of Engineers (India).
- Candidates with degrees or diplomas in Engineering from foreign universities/colleges/institutions can be eligible, provided that the qualifications and conditions are recognized by the Government of India for the purpose from time to time.
- Qualification is also acceptable if candidates have passed the Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India).
- Candidates can qualify if they have passed the Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III or Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India.
- Another option is to pass the Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London, held after November 1959.

How to Apply
- Apply Online: Visit Click Here to apply for the exam.
- Two Stages: The application process has two parts: Part-I and Part-II. You’ll find detailed instructions on the website.
- Application Fee: You need to pay a fee of Rs. 200, except if you’re an SC/ST candidate or meet specific criteria mentioned in the notice (you don’t need to pay). You can pay the fee at a State Bank of India branch or online using Visa/Master/RuPay cards, UPI, or internet banking.
- Scanned Documents: Before you start, make sure you have scanned copies of your photograph and signature in .jpg format. Each file should be between 20 KB and 300 KB in size.
- Matriculation Certificate: Have your Matriculation Certificate ready. The details you enter in the application form (Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, and Date of Birth) should match exactly with what’s on your certificate.
- Photo ID: You’ll also need details from a Photo ID Card issued by the government (like Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN Card, Passport, or Driver’s License). You’ll provide this in the application and use it for future reference.
- Application Period: You can apply online from September 6, 2023, to September 26, 2023, until 6:00 PM.
- Avoid Multiple Applications: Try not to submit multiple applications. If you do, make sure the one with the higher Registration ID
- Email Communication: Use an active email ID. The Commission may contact you electronically. Check your inbox regularly, and make sure emails from @nic.in go to your main inbox, not spam.
- Apply Early: Don’t wait until the last minute to apply online. Apply well before the deadline to avoid any issues.
- Withdraw Application: If you decide not to take the exam, you can withdraw your application.
