Northern Coalfields Recruitment Eligibility
- Applicants must have completed their ITI Course (NCVT/SCVT Trade Certificate) from an institute that is operational within the Uttar Pradesh or Madhya Pradesh state.
- Priority will be given to candidates who have obtained their ITI/Trade certificates from an institute within Sonbhadra District of Uttar Pradesh or Singrauli District of Madhya Pradesh.
- Age criteria: Candidates should be between 18 and 26 years of age as of the cutoff date, which is 31/08/2023, with a birthdate falling between 01/09/1997 to 01/09/2005.
- Age relaxation is provided:
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years
- OBC candidates: 3 years
- PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates: Up to 10 years (up to 15 years for SC/ST and up to 13 years for OBC Non-Creamy Layer candidates).
- Candidates who have undergone Apprenticeship earlier or are currently pursuing Apprenticeship Training in an industry as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, or have work experience for a period of 1 year or more at the time of applying are NOT eligible.
- Candidates with higher qualifications than the prescribed ITI qualification will not be considered eligible for the Trade Apprentice Trainee positions. Additionally, candidates should not have passed the corresponding Trade test (NCVT/SCVT) as required under the eligibility criteria.
Selection:
- Merit-based selection using ITI Trade test and Matriculation scores.
Tie-Breaking:
- Older candidates are preferred in case of score ties.
- If still tied, preference goes to those who passed the trade test earlier.
Score Calculation:
- ITI certificate percentage + Matriculation percentage, divided by two.
- For CGPA/GPA, convert to equivalent percentage.
Merit Lists:
- Two provisional lists: ML-1 (Sonbhadra/Singrauli) and ML-2 (others).
Preference:
- ML-1 candidates fill positions first based on merit.
- ML-2 candidates fill remaining slots if needed.
How to Apply
- Eligible candidates should visit the NCL website at www.nclcil.in and apply online following the provided schedule in Table 5.
- Paper-based applications will not be accepted.
- To apply online, candidates should:
- Go to the NCL website’s Home Page.
Navigate to Menu > Career > Apprenticeship Training.
Candidates need to register on the Online portal first. For this, they should have a valid mobile number and email address. After successful registration, they can apply for positions they are eligible for. - During the application process, candidates should provide all necessary details, including Date of Birth, Name (as on Matriculation certificate), correspondence and permanent addresses, academic information, and upload scanned photographs and signatures.
- After completing the online application form, candidates should carefully review the provided information before making the final submission. Once submitted, you can not Edit the Application.
- After the final submission, candidates should save both a hard copy and a soft copy of their online application for future reference.
General Instruction
- Read the full advertisement for eligibility and selection details.
- No travel allowances will be provided.
- Completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee regular employment.
- Submit a notarized affidavit before training.
- Stipend will be paid directly to the bank account.
- Provide valid contact information for communication.
