Selection Process

• Candidates are required to choose a specific city for their written examination from a list of available cities.(1) Agartala (2) Bangalore (3) Chandigarh (4) Chennai (5) Delhi (6) Guwahati (7) Hyderabad (8) Jaipur (9) Kolkata (10) Mumbai (11) Trivandrum
• This choice is final, and no changes will be allowed later. However, NIELIT reserves the right to assign candidates to a different location based on administrative convenience.

• The selection process includes a written examination, which can be either OMR based (Optical Mark Recognition) or Computer Based. This written exam consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
• There is a skill test component, which is qualifying in nature. The locations for the skill test will be communicated to the candidates at a later stage.
• Candidates who perform well in the written examination and meet the merit criteria will be shortlisted for the skill test. The shortlisting will be done in a 1:4 ratio, meaning that for each vacancy, four candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test.
• For certain posts such as Draftsman ‘C’ and Tradesman ‘B,’ only candidates who qualify the skill test will be considered for the final selection. The final selection for these posts will be based solely on the merit obtained in the written test.
• Merit lists based on the written test will be prepared region-wise for each post. Vacancies will be filled on a regional basis.
• In case two or more candidates secure equal marks, tie-breaking will be done based on the candidates’ Date of Birth, with the older candidate being placed higher in merit.
• Candidates will be required to provide necessary documents for verification on the day of the skill test or before the skill test.

• Remember that your admission at all recruitment stages is provisional, subject to eligibility verification.
• Apply online on the specified website between 02.10.2023 (11:30 a.m) and 31.10.2023 (5:30 p.m). No other method of application is accepted. Ensure you have a valid email and an active mobile number.
• Follow the steps for online application available on the provided website under “Instructions for filling Application” on the main page.
• You can apply for multiple posts but only in one Region (Southern/Northern/Eastern/Western) for a specific post. Applying more than once for the same post will result in rejection.
• Ensure your application is complete. If you can’t submit the fee (if applicable) by the closing date or if your application is incomplete, it will be rejected.
• After submission, make sure your “Application Status” is “Submitted Successfully.” An incomplete application will be rejected.
• Pay the application fee as specified in the table through online payment mode via the online application.
