General Instruction

• If you work for the government or a government-owned entity, inform your supervisor (Cadre Controlling Authority or CCA) in writing that you’re applying for the RAC job. Use the format provided on the RAC website.
• Mention in your letter that your employer can directly contact RAC at directrec.rac@gov.in for any objections or clarifications.
• Upload a copy of this letter and a signed declaration within seven days of the application deadline. Also, bring a copy of the letter to the interview if you’re selected.
• If you join a government organization after the application deadline, inform your CCA promptly and follow the same steps as above.
• Save a PDF copy of your application after finalizing it.
• Ensure your application is complete and accurate before finalizing it. Only finalized applications will be considered.

Screening/Shortlisting:

• Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on their GATE score at a ratio of 1:10, subject to availability, and discipline-wise category-wise merit list.
• Shortlisted candidates will confirm their willingness to attend an interview within a specified deadline and select an interview date from the provided calendar dates on the RAC website.
• The exact interview dates will be communicated to candidates later.

Selection Process:

• Shortlisted candidates will participate in a Personal Interview in Delhi or another location decided by RAC/DRDO.
• Appointment offers will be limited to the number of vacancies in order of merit. However, candidates must meet conditions like passing the prescribed Medical Examination and verifying character antecedents, SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD(HH)/PwD(LD)/PwD(AAV)/PwD(Dw) certificates, as applicable.
• Final results will be available on the RAC website.

Selection Criteria:

• The final selection is based on discipline-wise category-wise merit, with 80% weightage given to GATE score and 20% weightage given to marks in the Personal Interview.
• PwD(HH), PwD(LD), PwD(AAV/Dw) candidates’ selection is based on a similar merit system but specific to their category.
• Candidates must score a minimum of 70% (for UR category) and 60% (for EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwD category) in the Personal Interview to be considered for the final merit list.
• Candidates who do not qualify in the interview will not be considered for final selection, regardless of their GATE score.
• RAC may administer additional selection tools/tests at its discretion.
